Overview

Our leading Financial Services Sector Client is undergoing a time of significant growth and transformation. To support these endeavours, they are seeking to hire an Asset Governance Specialist.

As Asset Governance Specialist here you will be involved in the initial and ongoing review of external assets linked to group businesses, ensuring that they meet required acceptability and governance criteria.

The main duties of this role will include:

• Review of new / existing assets for all Group Companies to ensure they remain compatible with product and regulatory requirements.
• Check and sign off reviews undertaken by other team members
• Respond to internal / external queries in respect of asset related matters
• Assist with weekly and monthly audits to ensure assets held within group products are compliant with regional regulatory requirements

The ideal candidate for the role of Asset Governance Specialist will have:

• Proven experience in an investment related role
• Minimum of two years' experience working in a Life Assurance environment is desirable
• Strong research, analytical and numeracy skills
• Ability to work accurately under pressure, and have excellent attention to detail
• Good communication, planning and organisational skills, the ability to effectively balance multiple priorities and manage expectations.
• An ability to work with minimal supervision
• Familiar with Microsoft Office packages, in particular Excel

Desirable:

• Knowledge of investments, pensions, insurance products and associated legislation, regulation and guidance would be advantageous
• CISI Introduction to Securities and Investments Certificate, or similar
