Job description
Overview
Our leading Financial Services Sector Client is continuing a high growth trajectory, coupled with an ambitious transformation programme are now seeking an Asset Review Technician to provide support to the primary Investments value streams to enable the highest level of customer service.
You will provide technical support across the Service Company to champion effective risk & governance practices, complex query resolution, coaching and mentoring staff and development of industry initiatives. To set and control parameters and criteria for the fund universe based on business policies.
Role Profile
- Reviewing new assets for the Personalised Portfolio Bonds and collating the required information for new assets in order that investment instructions can be processed
- Dealing with a broad range of queries from IFA's / Clients specific to both products and external funds
- Dealing with complex and technical related investment queries
- Regular liaison with company Sales Consultants and the Regional Offices in relation to fund and technical queries
- To provide regular and ad-hoc information in a timely manner for Asset Review stats
- Ensure the maintenance of up to date procedures
- Preparation of AML documentation
- Process non-standard dealing / investment related queries from internal and external customers
- Ensure instructions are dealt with promptly and accurately
- Control of functional mailbox
- Provide assistance to less experienced members of the team
- Support education and with training to wider Investments Department
- Control of functional query mailbox
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders e.g. Policyholders, Advisers, fund managers and internal departments.
- Support Asset Review Team with Trust Company
- Utilise specialist knowledge to undertake root cause analysis to investigate and resolve complex queries
- Support Line Manager on the successful implementation of change programme initiatives within the team
- Demonstrates capability to manage unique events using experience and knowledge of regulations and policies rather than precedent and procedures
- Ability to communicate complex issues to key stakeholders
- Data validation to be completed in line with agreed procedures and service standards
- Monitoring of controls and execution of daily tasks as performed by the teams
- Liaising and building relationships with key stakeholders including attending quality partnerships
- Drive the Continuous Improvement programme within the team and assist in team based problems solving sessions. Act as a facilitator where improvement activities are outside of the teams' control
- Ensure key risks which are identified through quality and complaints RCA, are included in risk framework and plan for mitigation of these risks
Person Profile
- Minimum of 3 years investment experience
- 5 GCSEs Grade C or above to include Maths and English and/or NVQ Level 1 - or equivalent
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal & Good analytical skills
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as on own
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and work well under pressure, managing own workload and able to handle multiple priorities
- Awareness of industry best practise and forthcoming industry developments
