Overview
Our Douglas-based firm are an Accounting and Advisory business with an international reach and focus. Owing to continued growth, they now require an experienced Audit Manager to join the team.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Audit, the Audit Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing internal and external audits. The role involves ensuring compliance with financial regulations, preparing accurate financial reports, and leading the audit team to maintain high standards of financial integrity. Specific duties will include:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute internal and external audits
- Oversee daily audit operations and ensure compliance with auditing standards
- Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, financial regulations, and company policies
- Manage and mentor the audit team
- Develop and implement audit strategies and procedures
- Identify and assess areas of financial risk and implement mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies
- Monitor audit findings and follow up on corrective actions
The ideal candidate for the role of Audit Manager will be:
- ACCA or ACA qualified (or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles and financial regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software, Word, Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of how to manage sensitive and confidential information
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Organisational and time management skills
- Be versatile and adaptable
