Overview
Our Douglas-based Client are an independent, dynamic business offering a range of business services. As new business demand builds, they require an experienced Bookkeeper to join the team.
Role Profile
- Assist with general accounting duties in internal Finance department
- Manage the Finance Inbox for supplier and internal queries
- Process data through the sales and purchase ledgers from the point of receipt of the invoice to completion of the transaction
- Reconciliation of VAT, purchase and sales ledgers
- Reconciliation of bank accounts
- Answer client calls and queries
- Banking payments
- Maintain and prioritise your own workload in accordance to the team requirements
- Ensure that all work is completed within the required timescales and to the standards required
Person Profile
- Bookkeeping experience (minimum of 3 years)
- Bank reconciliation experience
- Computer literacy essential with working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Must be able to work on own initiative to achieve desired results
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate with suppliers and internal staff effectively
- Good organisational skills essential to juggle the busy work load
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Good team player
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work with logical judgement
- Must have a positive 'can do' attitude
