Our Isle of Man-based Client are an award-winning communications & services provider, leading their sector in the delivery of compelling and affordable tailored solutions. They now require an experienced Business Development Executive to join and contribute to an established, high performing team.

The BDE will drive sustainable financial growth by forging strong relationships with clients that result in increased sales to the business. This role will be is responsible for the development and maintenance of the relationship between external business partners and the business.

Role Profile

  • This role requires creative 'hunter' sales skills that delivers new business opportunities through new and existing channels
  • Support the activities of the Business Development Managers, in generating new business through the confident, competent communication and co-ordination of queries with creative resolutions
  • Meet targets as required applying professional, ethical and collaborative techniques
  • Identify, develop and follow up new business opportunities
  • Manage existing and develop new business relationships with partners
  • Problem solve and communicate solutions effectively
  • Identify business trends and use to support the development of new business
  • Negotiate business terms or contracts variations
  • Work collaboratively with BDM's and PSE's to manage potential risks
  • Anticipate and prepare for business pitches
  • Attend networking events in a professional capacity
  • Balance a number of competing priorities with professionalism and competence. Meeting the targets as required by the team and those depending on it
  • Be seen as a source of knowledge around the services and products

Person Profile

  • Experience of Business Development and working with challenging targets
  • Demonstrable experience of building rapport at a senior level
  • Demonstrable experience of sales 'hunting'
  • Experience and knowledge of Telecoms industry
  • Excellent communication skills; capable of influencing at all levels of an organisation
  • Good level of written communication
  • Ambitious, goal orientated and self-motivated, hungry for the business to succeed
  • Desire to succeed and drive forward a business development opportunity without direction
  • Ability to build rapport and professional relationships across an organisation
  • Managing and effecting change as required
  • Personal drive to understand and develop an 'impressive' knowledge of the company's business and products
  • Tertiary Level education (Graduate, Diploma, etc.)
