Job description

Overview

Our client are a leading international insurance business with a proud heritage of serving customers and charitable partners on the island. They now require a Business Support Assistant to join an active team.

Role Profile

  • Competently and politely answer inbound calls
  • Listen to and direct the brokers or customers to the correct department, capturing accurate messages when call handlers are unavailable to take the call
  • Collect post from all departments ready for post office collection with the use of a franking machine
  • Issue brokers with their post and run errands to various offices
  • Scanning of documents to relevant folders
  • Assist the commercial department with data transfer for new systems and administration work

Candidate Profile

  • Have a competent and confident telephone manner
  • Strong inter-personal skills, including excellent organisation and communication
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to understand bespoke computer systems
  • Attention to detail and ability to accurately process and check documentation
  • Be a team player and work well under pressure of deadlines, maintaining workflow and service levels
