Our Douglas-based client is an independent full service fiduciary services company who provide comprehensive and professional services to international and Isle of Man based clients. Their services include the establishment and ongoing administration of trusts, companies and other structures for both corporate clients and private individuals.

To support their growth they are seeking a Client Accountant to assume responsibility for the management of the clientaccounting function to ensure the continuing compliance with legal andregulatory requirements as well as help support the delivery of agreed client service levels and work withthe directors to support the company's business goals

Role Profile

  • Provide effective client accounting and administrative support toFiduciary team and the board of directors
  • Understanding of the different requirements of trust, company andpartnership clients
  • Working with Fiduciary team in preparation of financial statements forclient entities applying appropriate accounting standards
  • Liaise with clients, their advisors and the trust/companyadministrators, as required
  • To become the first port of call for management and staff re clientaccounting
  • Preparation and submission of IOM & UK tax returns for cliententities
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Management of client bookkeeping records
  • Management of HTCL client monies accounting function
  • To provide project support and assistance where required
  • Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge, competenciesand skills to support the development of the business
  • Carrying out such additional duties from time to time as requested

Person Profile

  • Qualified or near qualified accountant
  • TCSP experience
  • Team membership skills with strong numerical, oral and written skills
  • Flexible and supportive of change, progress and self-development
  • Self-organisation and appropriate time management skills
You will also be knowledgeable on:
  • IOM Anti-Money Laundering & CFT Handbook
  • Anti-Bribery & Corruption Legislation
  • Regulatory codes, best practice and guidance notes
