Job description


Our Client is a leading Douglas-based Trust & Corporate service provider, serving a diverse international customer base. As they enjoy further growth, they require an experienced Compliance Officer to join andassist the Head of Compliance with the implementation and delivery of the company's regulatory compliance programme and associated initiatives.

Role Profile

  • Perform scheduled monitoring as set out in the company's Compliance Monitoring Programme, and provide reports and feedback on results and findings to the Head of Compliance
  • Assist with the review and implementation of compliance policies, procedures, processes and controls
  • Assist with preparation of Compliance reports and supporting documents for quarterly Manco meetings, the Annual Compliance Report, and other senior management meetings
  • Assist with new business enquiries including review and sign-offs of risk assessments and CDD prepared, and referring any issues or higher risk matters to the Head of Compliance
  • Assist with the completion of a scheduled programme of risk reviews
  • Review and provide feedback to staff on customer related queries
  • Assist the Head of Compliance with preparation of regulatory returns and filings
  • Assist with answering and responding to routine external enquiries and requests from stakeholders
  • Review sanctions notices for potential matches
  • Update and maintain compliance registers

Person Profile

  • Previous experience in a compliance role.
  • Good knowledge of Isle of Man Class 4 & 5 requirements
  • Strong knowledge of Isle of Man AML Requirements
  • Professional qualification in Compliance
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
  • Self-Motivation and discipline in task completion
  • High organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Able to develop smooth and constructive relationships with colleagues, outside agencies, organisations, and individuals
  • High degree of flexibility and willingness to help others
  • Friendly and ability to maintain high professional standards
  • Able to handle confidential matters with utmost discretion
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
