Overview

Our leading Finance Sector Client is undergoing a time of significant growth and transformation as they integrate a corporate acquisition. To support this and grow their organisation they are seeking an experienced Environment Manager to join them.

As Environment Manager you will lead the governance, planning and operational management of development, test and pre-production environments across both on premise and Azure cloud platforms. Reporting to the Head of IT Delivery, you will play a key role in enabling reliable, high-quality software delivery across multiple products, teams and suppliers.

The main duties will include:

• Define, own and evolve the company's environment management strategy and roadmap
• Manage the full lifecycle of development, test and pre-production environments
• Ensure environments are stable, available and ready to support delivery, testing and release activities
• Coordinate environment demand, scheduling and capacity across multiple teams and suppliers
• Drive standardisation, governance and continuous improvement across the environment estate
• Work closely with DevOps, Testing, Architecture, Infrastructure and third-party partners to improve delivery outcomes

The ideal candidate for the role of Environment Manager will have:

• Proven experience managing complex IT environments across multiple platforms and suppliers
• Strong understanding of environment lifecycle management, SDLC and software delivery practices
• Experience supporting Agile and Waterfall delivery teams
• Excellent stakeholder management, planning and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of hybrid infrastructure environments, including Azure cloud technologies
