Overview

Our Douglas-based client are general insurers who deliver custom insurance solutions within most sectors of the market and are currently seeking a Group Compliance Officer/Manager to join the team.

The successful candidate must have the ability to interpret regulatory documentation andexperience in dealing with the regulators and compliance with all legislation, possess goodcommunication skills, leadership, and high integrity with a logical and methodical approachto achieving tasks and objectives.

Role Profile

  • Developing, implementing, and managing the group's compliance program
  • Keep up to date with, and understand, relevant laws and regulations
  • Coordinating with the regulators
  • Monitor compliance with laws, regulations and internal policies
  • Planning, implementing and overseeing risk-related programs
  • Ensuring group complies with its regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Perform risk assessments to understand risk level, significance and scope
  • Ensure that your findings are recorded and followed up with management so thatissues can be rectified
  • Educate employees on not only the regulations, but also the impact on theorganisation if these aren't complied with
  • Investigate irregularities and non-compliance issues
  • Report back to business functions on current risk and compliance performance highlight or escalate areas of concern
  • Contribute to robust and effective compliance controls within the organisation
  • Review marketing materials, presentations and websites to ensure compliance withregulatory requirements
  • Assist in the gathering of internal information in response to regulatory requests
  • Collaborate with other departments to create a culture of compliance
