Overview
Our Douglas-based Client are a leading specialist Trust & Corporate Service provider, serving Clients across a number of international jurisdictions. As the team grows, they now require an experienced HR Manager on a part-time basis.
Role Profile
- Manage and undertake all human resource related duties across the Group, which operates within the Isle of Man, United Kingdom & Ireland
- Staff liaison - first point of contact for staff ensuring employees receive adequate support
- HR support and advice for Directors and Managers
- Facilitate the induction and on-going development of staff
- Governance and general support to the executive team
- Facilitate staff training and development
- Updating internal HR database (People HR) and document management system (Laserfiche) with key data
- Review, amend and update company HR policies and procedures
- Prepare various HR documents, including employment contracts, offer letters, annual salary review communication
- Assist staff recruitment as lead or support, filter applications and first interviews
- Oversee job descriptions and other internal HR templates and forms
- Liaison with Employment Agencies and direct with potential candidates
- Contact point for external benefit providers e. g. insurers, brokers
- Provision of employment related data to assist in payroll processes
- Assistance in presenting HR training related matters
- Lead the promotion and maintenance of staff annual focus plans
- Take an active part in ad hoc HR and non-HR duties projects
- Provide ad hoc office support duties as instructed
Person Profile
- Minimum 5 years' experience in an HR role
- Certification in human resources, management or similar
- Excellent telephone, verbal, and written communication skills
- Sound knowledge of relevant employment and HR legislation and practices
- Essential confidentiality standards
- Must be approachable and helpful
- Good ethical judgment
- Able to work without direct supervision and to tight deadlines
- Good abilities using Microsoft products
- Professional and approachable demeanor
- Proven communication and organisational skills
- Positive working relationship with colleagues and external parties
- Acts an example to others, with positive attitude and self accountable
- Takes ownership of tasks
