Job description


We are seeking an experienced Systems Support Analyst for our growing Douglas-based Trust and Corporate service provider. You will be working with and providing support to a small but highly productive professional team, liaising with 3rd party service partners and Users alike.

The core purpose of this role is to provide administration and front line support to the user base, maintaining_hardware, systems software and applications for client machines, alongside_support for servers, network infrastructure and telecoms.

Role Profile

  • Assist in maintaining and supporting every aspect of the IT infrastructure for its day to day operation
  • Actively participate in IT based projects covering hardware, software and_business applications
  • Maintain accurate and complete procedural records, reports, asset details_and change control
  • Maintain records and relationships with suppliers and support agencies
  • Complete routine maintenance tasks to ensure continued functionality and_reliability of IT Infrastructure
  • Client machine hardware & software installation and configuration
  • Support server and network administration
  • Regular software maintenance including licensing and updates
  • Work as part of a team to complete projects as part of IT strategy
  • Provide IT training to new and existing employees

Person Profile


  • Experience of working as part of a small team supporting IT for a professional organisation
  • 'A' levels + 7 years relevant experience; OR appropriate degree + 5 years relevant experience
  • Maintenance & administration of Microsoft operating systems
  • User support for Microsoft Office Applications
  • Ability to work as part of a team
Preferred: Working knowledge of:
  • Windows Server 2012/2019
  • Virtual server environment under EXSi:5/6
  • SharePoint, Exchange Online & MS SQL server administration
  • Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop
  • Windows 10
  • Mitel Telephony
  • Sophos Firewall Administration
  • Problem analysis and resolution
  • Good administrative skills
  • Good oral and written communications, able to liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to learn from technical issues and apply experiences to problem_resolution
  • Deliver user training for software
  • Accurately plan, complete and document detailed technical work and_demonstrate solid quality work ethos
  • Self motivated with a structured approach to work
  • Identify and analyse problems by interpreting data available
