Overview
Our Douglas-based Client are an independent, dynamic group of businesses employing over 350 people and offering a range of services including wealth planning, investment sourcing and fiduciary services to both corporate and personal clients. They are now seeking a Junior Compliance Assistant to join an established team.
Role Profile
- Responsible for day-to-day compliance administration of a number of companies
- Assisting with AML/CFT administration in the compliance department
- Ad hoc project work
- Review of CDD/EDD
- Undertake ongoing monitoring and provide feedback to the MLRO where necessary
- On-going monitoring and first point of call for compliance and data protection queries
- Manage ongoing monitoring reports (weekly and monthly)
Person Profile
- An understanding of AML/CFT legislation and regulation is desired
- Must be able to work on own initiative to achieve desired results
- A good working knowledge of Excel is essential
- Able to undertake own research to deal with problems that arise
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate withsuppliers and internal staff effectively
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Computer literacy essential
- Creative approach to problem solving necessary
- Good team player
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work
- Must have a positive 'can do' attitude
