Overview

Our Oxfordshire-based home design and retailer Client is enjoying a sustained period of sales and operating growth, therefore now requiring aReturns and Quality Control Team Leader to ensure that the QA department delivers the highest level of service to its internal and external customers.

Role Profile

  • To supervise and manage the team in ensuring all returns and QC checks are processed correctly within the WMS system
  • Ensure that the department delivers the highest level of service to its internal and external customers and always works together as one team
  • Inspect and process returned products back into the warehouse
  • Open, inspect and ensure a wide range of furniture / accessories comply with company standards
  • Inspecting and processing returned products back into the warehouse using their warehouse management system
  • Inspecting problem products and identify improvements needed
  • To assist the Customer Service team by selecting replacement furniture for customers who have experienced previous issues
  • To help develop more efficient systems of work and to use any resultant change to improve the cost of the department
  • To energise and create a working environment where the team is engaged and driven to hit the KPI targets
  • Ensure that the work area is kept tidy, at all times, during working hours to ensure a high standard of inspection can be carried out
  • Proactively seek Product and packaging improvements
  • Constantly seek to improve work space and ways of working
  • To ensure that all Health and Safety rules and procedures within the department are adhered to at all times

Person Profile

  • Minimum 2 years' Quality Control or Product returns experience
  • A sound understanding of a premium brand and how every dept. can impact on this
  • Strong decision-making capabilities
  • A good communicator to all levels of staff
  • Good computer skills and the ability to pick up new system quickly
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-moving business, to be able to take on new challenges and responsibilities
  • A good problem-solving mind
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Must have a hands on approach and willing to work side by side with the team to achieve targets and goals
  • A good communicator to all levels of staff
  • An understanding of a premium brand and how this should be communicated to our customers
  • High level organizational skills with great attention to detail
