Overview

Our Internationally renowned Client is seeking a Sales Enablement Assistant Manager to be the marketing link between category & sales, responsible for the execution of distribution plans & in-territory specific activation creation & execution, ensuring the brand vision is upheld in market and will also promote the relevant product features & benefits with a territory view.

Based on the island or working from home in the UK or Italy with travel to the onsite offices in both the UK and Italy.

Role profile

  • NPD distribution planning - present detailed plans at relevant gateway reviews
  • Liaison between category & sales in terms of sales opportunities, branding decisions & own label progression
  • Working directly with Global sales & Group Marketing to ensure all plans are activated, assets are available & tailored to the individual territories & channels
  • Analyse the competitive marketplace to develop GAP analysis, identify needs & trends
  • Own & deliver marketing campaigns & activities in co-ordination with central Group Marketing
  • Drive activation of instore & partner marketing campaigns
  • Support the Brand & Product Teams in defining claims & communication packages for specific territories
  • Working with Brand, Group Marketing & digital to co-ordinate activities and drive product success in the markets

Person Profile

  • Degree level education or equivalent
  • Cross European retailer experience
  • Work experience within a consumer brand environment
  • Retail sales or marketing competence
  • Project management experience is helpful
  • First hand knowledge of how the Marketing function differs across the spectrum and have had experience of some of these e.g. branding, product management, activation, execution etc.
  • New product development procedures & go to market expectations.
  • Ability to create plans, deliver against deadlines & resolve any threats arising
  • Clear communication skills to ensure concise & clear messages/actions/objectives are translated between functions
  • Fluent in English and additional language skills are a distinct advantage
  • Good negotiation skills to ensure best pricing at all times in all areas- even when faced with sales people who tell you otherwise!
  • Ability to quickly build strong, credible professional relationships
  • Flexibility in respect of the demands of the role, and a preparedness to be "hands on"
