Overview
Our Client is a well established Douglas-based organisation that offers a comprehensive suite of accountancy and wealth management services to enable clients to grow, manage and preserve all facets of their financial affairs through cross-border resources and expertise-led solutions. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a Senior Accountant to join an established team.
Reporting to the Accounts Manager and Directors, the Senior Accountant will:
- Collaborate within the team to manage a diverse portfolio
- Supervise and support team members where required
- Prepare and review financial statements for small to medium-sized companies in line with IFRS 102 Section 1A
- Oversee bookkeeping for client structures
- Ensure timely delivery of financial statements to clients
- Respond to client queries regarding financial statements
- Prepare and review management accounts
- Prepare and review VAT returns for client structures
- Support UK / IOM statutory reporting requirements
- Constructively challenge existing systems and procedures to enhance efficiency and client experience
- Undertake additional duties or projects as required
The ideal candidate for the role of Senior Accountant will have:
- Be ACCA or ACA qualified, or qualified by experience
- Good A Levels or equivalent
- Proven accounting experience at a senior level
- Ability to actively prioritise and manage workload
Desirable:
- Experience with owner-managed businesses is preferred but not essential
- Understanding of Isle of Man legislation and systems
- Understanding of UK Tax legislation
- Experience with CCH and Laserfiche
