Job description

Overview

Our Douglas-based Client are an independent, dynamic group of businesses employing over 350 people and offering a range of services including wealth planning, investment sourcing and fiduciary services to both corporate and personal clients. They are now seeking a Senior Administrator (Co-Sec) to join an established team.

The core focus of the Senior Administrator is to be responsible for the day-to-day administration of a number of group entities and assist Senior Management to control the Group's company secretarial requirements (IOM & UK). Wider duties include:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day administration of companies, e.g. maintaining statutory books, registers of members, directors and secretaries
  • Assist in organising board meetings and AGMs, preparing agendas and taking minutes
  • Preparation and submission of annual returns for UK & Isle of Man entities
  • Assist with training directors and members of the leadership team on corporate governance matters
  • Keep up to date with any regulatory or statutory changes that might affect the organisation
  • Assist Senior Management with monitoring policies to ensure they are up to date and approved
  • Periodically provide support to the board or other committees on specific projects
  • Assist Directors and senior management in implementing processes or systems to help ensure good governance
  • Support Senior management with insurance policy requirements and annual renewals
  • Register and close companies as directed

The ideal candidate for the role of Senior Administrator will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years in a similar role within a finance sector firm
  • Holds or is studying toward a professional qualification (ICSA or equivalent)
  • Good organisation skills essential to manage work load and various reporting requirements
  • Able to work on own initiative to achieve desired results
  • Able to undertake research when required and report to Senior Management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate with external service providers and internal staff effectively
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Attention to detail, team player
