Role Profile

The purpose of this role is to win and build client social media audiences by directing the creation of client content, copy and tactics for engaging audiences in all social media channels.

Key responsibility is the creation of resonant, engaging and effective social media channels for the company's clients that earn audience attention, create discussion and engagement and grow organically. In depth experience of writing and creating for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and more is essential. The Social Editor will be responsible for the quality and effectiveness of clients' organic social media output.

  • Devise process, methods and approaches to improving content ideas and output
  • Work with internal teams, managing contributors
  • Devise and explain methods for content ideas
  • Contribute and nurture a creative culture
  • Drive standards of quality and performance
  • Enforce very high quality standards
  • Monitor performance and be relentless in the pursuit of greater results
  • Innovate and introduce clients to new channels, formats and technology
  • Continual innovation to keep clients at the forefront of social media and digital communication

Person Profile

  • Be degree educated in a related subject. You must be able to fluently explain and demonstrate the benefits your degree
  • Marketing experience working for consumer or lifestyle brand within a digital or social media space
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in social media/digital with proven experience in customer relations
  • Client contact will be essential, so strong communication skills are expected
  • Ability to embody the brand in the social space and build relationships with key people
  • Strong written English and grammar
  • Highly numerate and comfortable with basic data tasks
  • Stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
  • Experience of using Facebook, Twitter, Google and YouTube's commercial applications
  • Understanding social media's role in the marketing mix
  • Ability to implement the strategic social media marketing plan on a daily basis
  • Ability to manage and develop image and asset bank for social media
  • Manage the community across platforms ensuring brand reputation and customer services objectives are met
  • Ensure timely responses to social media queries across all client channels
  • Ability to switch between different tonality to suit clients
  • Broad understanding of various brands' use of social media including best practice examples
  • Steer social media strategy and manage social media budget
  • Familiarity with the full MS Office Suite
  • Understanding of the principles of marketing communications, branding and social media
  • Ability to use basic social media tools such as Hootsuite or Tweetdeck
  • Proactive and creative ability to work on concepts and generating new ideas
  • Collaborative attitude and ability to give and receive instruction
  • Problem-solving mentality
  • Understanding of data analytics and ability to use tools such as Synthesio, Crimson Hexagon, Sysomos
  • Ability to edit content, compress and resize photography, general art working skills
  • One on One customer support experience
  • Prior experience in public relations or online marketing
