Job description

Overview

Our Client is an international provider of Corporate Services & Global Expansion, Active Wealth and Fund Solutions, with offices across multiple jurisdictions and territories.

The Statutory team is a non-client facing specialised team that provides corporate services and support to the Client Directors and their teams across the Isle of Man office. As Statutory Officer, you will work within these teams and take direct responsibility for Statutory Operational tasks for the client companies across numerous jurisdictions within the business.

You will ensure that all Regulatory filings, reporting and fees are completed on time in order that the Companies for which services are provided for by the company remain in good standing, supporting and providing guidance on all statutory operational matters. Wider duties will include:

  • Annual Return preparation and filing, all jurisdictions
  • Company formations and company transfers into and out of the business
  • Company restorations, dissolutions and liquidations
  • Company conversions and clearing charges
  • Appointment and resignation of company officers together with maintenance of company statutory registers
  • Share Transfers together with maintenance of company statutory registers
  • Preparation of various statutory documentation requested from time to time
  • Beneficial Owner reporting
  • ID&V maintenance for Authorised signatories
  • LEI registrations new and renewals andROE registrations and renewals
  • Coordinate the payment of all foreign agents' fees
  • Ensure the Statutory team deliver on regulatory and client commitments to agreed deadlines and to a high standard
  • Promote the company and their business objectives, while driving morale by providing support and guidance (technical and otherwise) to colleagues in the client teams and the wider business
  • Support the line management in driving appropriate behaviour and take action to ensure agreed business risk targets are met
  • Help ensure that the business is compliant with local regulatory requirements supporting a positive relationship with the local regulator through strong governance

The ideal candidate for the role of Statutory Officer will:

  • Have proven experience within the fiduciary field and will demonstrate good client service
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Statutory Operational tasks and be expected to have an awareness of current issues affecting fiduciary structures
  • Able to demonstrate excellent technical competence and an ability to impart that knowledge to others effectively
  • A good understanding of the regulatory environment in which the business operates
