Overview

A leading Douglas-based firm of Chartered Accountants are experiencing continued growth and are now recruiting for a Student Trainee Accountant to join their expanding team.

As Student Trainee Accountant you will study toward a formal accounting qualification under the mentorship of the Associate Director. Duties will include:

• Assist with daily accounting operations, including data entry, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
• Support the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports
• Help maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Assist in the reconciliation of bank statements and general ledger accounts
• Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Assist with audits and compliance checks
• Collaborate with the accounting team on various projects and tasks

The ideal candidate for the role of Student Trainee Accountant will be:

• Currently pursuing a degree in an Accounting, Finance or a related field or excellent A level grades of A or B in Maths and English
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook
• Knowledge of how to manage sensitive and confidential information
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Be versatile and adaptable
