Overview

Our leading Douglas-based Finance Sector Client is expanding its Finance Team as they progress an ambitious transformation programme. They are now seeking a Trainee Accountant to join a successful and fast growing company and represents a great opportunity for candidates looking to pursue a career in financial services.

Role and Person Profile

• Join a Finance team of around 60 people
• Be part of one of their financial reporting or financial systems teams
• Expand their experience through rotations between the various teams over the course of their training period
• Familiarity with the ACCA qualification
• Good numerical skills and the ability to analyse data
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with Excel and Word (or similar packages)

If you are a graduate, your minimum academic requirements will be:

• GCSE grade B for Mathematics and English
• 120 UCAS points excluding General Studies
• Hold or be on track for at least a 2.2 in your degree

Candidates will study the ACCA accounting qualification. The company will provide a comprehensive study package, which includes access to external training material and study leave. It will take approximately 3-4 years to obtain your qualification if exams are passed at the first attempt.

Salary increments will be awarded as you progress through the examinations and take on more responsibility.
