Overview
Our Client is a well established Douglas-based organisation that offers a comprehensive suite of accountancy and wealth management services to enable clients to grow, manage and preserve all facets of their financial affairs through cross-border resources and expertise-led solutions. Following a round of internal promotions, they are now seeking a Trainee Bookkeeper to join the Team.
External and internal training will be provided, with the objective to gain the Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) qualification.
Reporting to the Accounts Manager, the Trainee Bookkeeper will be responsible for:
- Assisting and supporting the Accounts Department
- Assisting with maintaining the day-to-day financial records & posting within accounting applications
- Assisting with managing invoices, payments & receipts
- Reconciling bank statements with company records
- Supporting the preparation of monthly reporting & annual financial statements
- Assisting with other administration tasks as needed
The ideal candidate for the role of Trainee Bookkeeper will have:
- Educated to A Level standard or equivalent (would consider at least 5 GCSEs at grade B or above)
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Be accountable and committed to pursuing a career within the accounting field
