Overview
Our Douglas-based client, a well respected local not-for-profit institution, is seeking a Financial Accountant to support the Finance Manager with a growing workload.
As Financial Accountant here you will:
- Maintain financial records and completion of financial reports
- Complete management accounts and analysis
- Departmental / Sites management information
- Assist with preparation of financial statements in compliance with FRS 102
- Have an understanding and oversight of junior team member's tasks
- Budget Analysis
- Assist with VAT returns and VAT Compliance
The ideal candidate for the role of Financial Accountant will be:
- CAT / AAT Qualified, ACCA Part qualified, qualified by experience
- Proficiency in financial software systems such as Sage and advanced Excel skills, including database creation for data import/export
- Strong background in financial reporting, management accounts, and budget variance analysis
- Familiar with FRS 102
- Comfortable with a fast-paced environment with ongoing changes to processes and system
