Overview

Our Client is a well established Douglas-based organisation that offers a comprehensive suite of accountancy and wealth management services to enable clients to grow, manage and preserve all facets of their financial affairs through cross-border resources and expertise-led solutions. As they continue a growth phase, they are seeking a Talent and Development Officer to join the Team.

Reporting to the People Manager, the Talent and Development Officer will be responsible for:

  • Talent acquisition of new employees
  • Create and maintain networking opportunities to promote the Company as an Employer of Choice
  • Meet with departmental recruiting managers to discuss requirements
  • Responsible for the recruitment process from initial contact with candidates to induction
  • Supporting talent acquisition, succession planning and retention objectives
  • Responsibility for pre-interview screening and psychometric testing
  • Assisting with professional development and learning of employees
  • Facilitating and/or delivering face to face learning
  • Roll out and maintaining records for eLearning, digital and blended learning options
  • Identify training and development requirements within the Company using job analysis, annual reviews and skills gaps analysis
  • Delivery of regular training to the group
  • Planning and assessing Return on Investment of training and development programmes
  • Producing management information for Board meetings reporting on Talent and Development objectives

The ideal candidate for the role of Talent and Development Officer will have:

  • At least 3 recent years' recruitment and onboarding experience in an office environment together with relevant/recent Learning and Development experience
  • CIPD Level 3 in Learning and Development or equivalent would be an advantage but not essential
  • Educated to GCSE level in English and Mathematics (or equivalent)
  • A good knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to work on their own initiative, under pressure and to strict deadlines
