Overview

Our London-based client are an innovator within the energy sector and are now seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join a small, growing, and highly productive finance team.

Reporting directly into the Senior Finance Manager, working with external consultants, the Financial Accountant will assist the team by managing the preparation & audit of all financial statements for the Group, reporting on the financial performance of the business and be responsible for ensuring that financial processes, systems, & controls are operating effectively. Wider duties will include:

• Ownership of monthly close process
• Monitoring of monthly P&L
• Preparation of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Liaise with external accountants to ensure timely preparation of local and Group accounts
• Manage external audit process for entities located across the globe
• Management of all lease agreements for the Group

The ideal candidate for the role of Financial Accountant will be:

• A Qualified Accountant with external audit experience from a Top 10 practice firm
• Experience of preparing Financial Statements for UK based entities and Groups (under UK GAAP and/or IFRS)
• Experience of preparing Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Proficient in Excel and Word
• Be a self-starter, diligent with a strong attention to detail
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work as a part of a diverse team across multiple locations/time-zones
