Overview

Our leading Finance Sector Client is enjoying a period of sustained growth across multiple markets, causing a significant inflow of work across the administrative teams. To support this, they require a Fund Valuation and Dealing Technician to join them on a Fixed Term Contract basis to the end of 2024.

The Fund Valuation and Dealing Technician will join the Unit Pricing team within the Investments Department. You will assist the Unit Pricing Team, managing operational and financial risks on behalf of the business within a defined risk tolerance, ensuring compliance with internal policies and group risk framework.

The role will support the Unit Pricing Manager and the Unit Pricing Team in providing accurate Unit Prices to the business.The main responsibilities of the role are to assist with:

• Oversight controls of Unit Pricing and Appropriation operations for £5.8bn of unit-linked securities
• Processing and review of Unit Pricing activities including the production, validation and distribution of Unit Prices and Unit Linked Fund ranges
• Import of pending and confirmed policy unit movements from policy administration systems, processing of unit movements in Internal Funds through the Appropriations process, and timely execution of external deals created from this activity
• Maintenance of a robust control environment, ensuring that operational and financial risks are managed within a defined risk tolerance and ensuring compliance with internal policies and group risk framework
• Monitoring external relationships owned by the Investment Management Department and ensuring the relevant third parties operate within the terms of the contracts and SLAs

The ideal candidate for the role of Fund Valuation and Dealing Technician will have:

• A minimum of 5 GCSE's (grades A-C) including English and Mathematics
• Have at least 3 years' previous experience in a Unit Pricing / Investments Environment
• Be highly numerate, with advanced Excel skills (including ability to use pivot tables and macros) and experience of interpreting data sets
• Have excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues in an easily understood manner
• Be flexible and adaptable to changing requirements of the business

Desirable:

• Previous experience, knowledge and understanding of InvestPro would be advantageous
